PREP A KID FOR SCHOOL

 

The Ontario Fiji Network is proud to announce its Sixth Annual backpack drive. Please help us make this event a success!

Our goal is to fill 25 Backpacks and raise $2,000 for Start2Finish

We have chosen to support Start2Finish, an amazing charity whose mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at risk children from coast to coast.

The Start2Finish Backpack Program provides vital school supplies to thousands of kids who begin the school year without the proper essentials.  Each September, Start2Finish, in cooperation with school boards and local administrators, identifies children with the greatest needs in low-income communities across the nation.  The program equips students with the tools needed to help “even the playing field” and prepare them for a successful school year and beyond.  The S2F Backpack Program distributes backpacks to the most at-risk children in schools nationwide.

How you can help:

We’re adding a twist to our annual back pack fundraiser.

You can now “purchase” items for your backpack donation online at

You may also purchase a backpack and supplies and drop it off on Sunday August 20th from Noon – 4PM (The list of required items appears at the end.)

The goal of Start2Finish is to distribute a uniform set of supplies to each child. We ask that you bring NEW SCHOOL SUPPLIES from the list below:
